Michelle Eccles is WTAX's Program/News Director. She can now be heard anchoring news on the Morning Newswatch with Bob Murray.
Michelle has been at NewsRadio 1240 WTAX since 1997 when she started as morning co-anchor of the Morning Newswatch. She soon became News Director in 2000 and in 2004 took on the title of Program Director. She worked afternoons for nine years, but is now back in the morning anchor position.
Michelle is an award winning journalist with numerous awards from the Illinois Associated Press, the Illinois Broadcasters Association, and the Radio-Television News Directors Association.
Michelle is also a Past President of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association.
